A Surgical Technologists is an integral team member in OR. We work with physicians, anesthesia and circulating nurses and the entire operating room in order to provide optimal patient care. A day in the classroom is typically a day in the OR. We start day one bringing our students into the OR, giving them hands on training. From day one from start to finish. Your entire career will be based in an operating room just like this one. The Baptist Health Sciences University Surgical Technology Program is a wonderful program. It's hands on. We're a faith based University. We have small classrooms, our ratio is 10-1. You're going to become family with the people that you see everyday.
